oh yeah, and i bought a new car!

Regis and Kelly are having a contest for america's most beautiful babies... my mom wanted to enter laken. and here is the photo that was used... Downside? he's gonna win. how could he not?!
and i don't think i have time to jumpstart his modeling/child star career!

laken and i spent the afternoon playing
all so i could avoid actually cleaning my nasty house! i pulled out the camera and he loved it! so i gave him the tiny one to play with. can i just tell you that this is a kid after my own heart? (even if he IS looking through the wrong end of the camera...)





isn't this kid just way to cute?! this is me trying to get manual functions on the camera down pat. the f/1.8 is a little tricky when i throw in the flash! i LOVE this even though he's waaaaaay blown out!








this is a close up of the above photo. i'm not sure if you can see it or not, but if you look closely, you can see me in his eyeball!!! my whole body! and my ginormous flash and sphere! wicked awesome. i LOVE it!!!!

since the studio uses nikon
and i realized my shutter was
like 30 seconds
in Manual Mode
so this was a close up of my gramma's
rosary
and totally blurry
you can see the cross
i dunno... i kinda like it!
















the story behind this is
my gramma has jesus/god everywhere
i have a ton more photos of her house
and all her religious knacks
i'll post a link soon
but she has her Rosary (prayer beads)
collection overflowing!
she has one in ever purse (around 10)
and several on her bed
and has a little altar type thing with candles and rosaries
my MOM is named "Rosario" (rose-r-eo) which is spanish for rosary.





and lastly, i got a new lens for my camera
it's a 50mm fixed lens
but can shoot at 1.8
this... this is the grand look
look how gorgeous that DOF is!!!
and that's my friend alison, aka my manager
also got a GARY FONG flash sphere
to help diffuse the harshness of flash
this is my camera at 50mm f1.8 and Canon 580ex with the fong sphere at ISO 400
